Introduction
Born in Scunthorpe in 1951, my father served in the RAF and we travelled around Great Britain and Germany, finally settling in Lincolnshire in 1967. I married Peter in 1971 and we have two grown up children - Paul and Lucy Anne.
Having always been interested in Art and Craftwork, I decided to enrol for a china painting course at adult education in 1987. I soon became addicted and two years later, bought my first kiln. Two years after that we had a studio built in the garden.
Today I teach and demonstrate around Great Britain and Holland, take on commission work and run weekend courses in my studio. I have won a silver ribbon and bronze ribbon at world conventions in America and I have had three of my media pictures transferred into cross stitch kits by the largest stitching company in the world, DMC. They have also commissioned other designs for future kits. The mixed media pictures are unique to me. They combine the two arts I enjoy the most, porcelain painting and embroidery / collage work.
